In the world of 1947 Los Angeles, everything should be sunny, but the smog creates a fog, a haze that permeates not just the lungs, but the psyches.This is a world that looks great on the outside: classy cars and snappy dressers, but under the tailored facades and shiny demeanors, it is a place of intense mood and deep shadows, a place where peoples true character may be as well hidden as the stoney face of a gambler holding a royal flush.
